Gluten and Wheat Intolerance testing – £44

The test checks for sensitivities or intolerance’s to gluten specifically as well as specific grains including wheat, oats, rye and barley that contain gluten. Gluten is the protein substance in the grain that some people find difficult to digest. In extreme cases this can cause celiac disease and your GP can do further testing to confirm this. However, many people appear just not to digest foods that contain wheat and some other grains which can lead to symptoms such as bloating and IBS, eczema, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue and weight fluctuations. We test for all these so that you can see whether this food group needs to be avoided.

Sometimes bread can be difficult to digest and may well not be due to any wheat/gluten problem, it is just the consistency of the bread that can cause bloating and discomfort.

Example of Results

All food testing is conducted in Sussex by using a small sample of hair. This type of food testing is totally non invasive and is for anyone of any age. This is a natural therapy and involves a non medical and non clinical approach. Food tests are performed remotely so that there is no need to travel.

All results are sent by email so are quick to receive, normally returned with 21 working days.

Hair Sample

A small sample of hair is required no larger than the size of a postage stamp but a minimum of 10 hairs, can be coloured and it is not required to be pulled from the root. Place in a clean tissue or envelope clearly labelled.
